Miguna responded stating that he did not vie for the presidency in 2017 instead Raila Odinga did. He did not claim to have won the 2017 presidential election but rather Raila did. He as well did not take thousands of his supporters to the streets for Uhuru Kenyatta to slaughter; Raila did. He finished by saying he hasn’t surrendered to Uhuru while Raila has.

The feud and comparison started when Dr Miguna called Raila Odinga a conman after the people’s president swearing in political drama being followed by the famous controversial handshake.

“A man who contests a presidential election, claims that he won, takes thousands of his supporters onto the streets to be slaughtered by Mr. Kenyatta whom he had accused of looting and mass murder, boycotts a presidential rerun before suddenly WORSHIPPING Kenyatta is a con-man!,” Miguna Miguna had stated.

The handshake opposition is taking a lot of centre stage in current politics being led by the Deputy president William Ruto who openly revealed he was and is still un-trusting of Raila’s mission in the handshake deal.
