The Supremacy battle between COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli and Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale continues to make headlines with none of the individuals from the Mulembe Nation seemingly ready to give in.

This whole feud between Khalwale and Atwoli started sometime back last year when Atwoli publicly declared that DP William Ruto will never be the President of Kenya.

At the time, Boni Khalwale had already jumped ship and joined Ruto’s bandwagon with the famous bull fighter saying that there is no individual in the Country who can beat Ruto even if elections were held back then.

The duo’s feud took a nasty turn yesterday when Atwoli called out Khalwale and condemned him to Poverty saying that he will die a beggar.

According to Atwoli, Khalwale has become a disgrace to his parents and the Luhya community.

“I pray to God that he dies a beggar because he was taken to school to bring change in the society but he has failed, he is a disgrace to his parent,” said the unionist

Atwoli also ruled out the possibility of Khalwale being the Kakamega Governor come 2022 saying he stood no chance.

“He will never be the governor of Kakamega county, he has no political stand and has done nothing tangible to the people to warrant what he is seeking,”said Atwoli .

Khalwale on the other hand, while speaking at a funeral in Luandeti, Lugari insisted that William Ruto is the ideal man to lead Kenya.

Khalwale insisted that those who claim that he is out of his senses should think and think well since their prefered candidate, Raila Odinga is even loosing ground in his own backyard of Luo Nyanza.

He referred to the just concluded by-elections in Siaya where ODM lost.

Well, it seems like Khalwale is headed for another round of verbal fights with COTU SG Francis Atwoli as he has decided to stand his ground and support DP Ruto all the way.

“I will continue to work with the DP in all corners of the country to rally support for his presidential ambition that is real.”

He said his relationship with Ruto is not for personal gain as claimed by his critics.

“We will ensure unity between the Luhya and Kalenjins as well as other Kenyans who cherish development,” Khalwale said.
