Kenya better off without Odinga, say Ruto brigade as ODM youths miss Ababu Namwamba

Deputy President William Ruto’s online brigade led by the deposed State House Social Media Personnel Denis Itumbi declares Kenya better without Odinga.

The Kenyan twitter is now marred with anti-Odinga politics from Ruto-sponsored bots. It is a bit confusing as to what exactly deputy president William Ruto’s strategy of winning the 2022 polls is. In the past few days, Kenyan twitter has been flooded with hashtags that in both connotative and denotative ways target Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga.

When the ODM Part lost Embakasi South and Ugenya constituencies, D.P. Ruto came out publicly and claimed credit. He even thanked God for the victory. What followed since then has been a series of anti-Odinga hashtags designed in a typical style of the Itumbi. The first hashtag was, of course, #AsanteRuto.

The ODM Party is experiencing internal leadership wrangles. Certain members of the party have expressed their concerns about the party’s secretary general Edwin Sifuna’s competence. In fact, they now wish to have the former SG Ababu Namwamba back.

Mr. Namwamba left the ODM for a Jubilee ghost CS position. Having left active politics, Mr. Namwamba nowadays walks around with Beauty Queens, most of whom end up pregnant.

It is no secret that William Ruto has a strong dislike for Raila Odinga. Is Odinga still interested in winning Kenya’s presidency? Whatever rivalry exists between these two is less important that the fact that Ruto is interested in destroying Odinga politically. Can he? Will he?

In 2017, Odinga swore himself in as the People’s President. While President Kenyatta’s men considered the matter and dismissed it on the interests of national cohesion, Ruto’s men were ready to arrest and charge Odinga with treason.

In an ongoing fresh attack against the enigma on social media, Ruto brigade is accusing Odinga of fraud and declaring Kenya better off without him under the hashtag #KenyaWeWant. Specifically, they are questioning Odinga’s use of monies his party collected from Kenyans in past campaign periods. These funds have never been accounted for.
