Compiling a list of the richest musicians in Kenya along with their net worth can be a daunting task, to say the least. However, to ensure we remained objective in ranking the richest Kenyan musicians, we used a few basic parameters. Some of these parameters include:

In the hospitality industry she has Akothee Safaris, tours and travels company that serves both local and international tourists. She also owns Morning Star Diani, a beach resort in Diani as well as a real estate company called Akothee Properties.

Akothee has also invested heavily in the transport industry and owns cabs that operate in Mombasa. Akothee owns several palatial homes in Kenya and Switzerland. She has a Ksh 80 Million home in Rongo, Migori, a mansion in North Coast beachfront worth Ksh 100 Million as well as a Ksh 80 Million home in the leafy suburbs of Nairobi.

The band has been in the music industry for more than a decade and has won several local and international awards including BET Awards 2015, Kisima Awards, MTV Europe Music Award and Channel O Music Awards.

Sauti Sol ranks among the richest musicians in Kenya. The band has received multiple brand endorsements from the likes of Coca-Cola (Coke Studio Africa) and Safaricom. They have also signed multi-million partnership deals with East Africa Breweries to endorse Chrome Vodka.

4. STL

Stella Mwangi, better known as STL, is one of the few Kenyan musicians to have gone international and become hugely successful.

Apart from owning her own fashion line, the Norway-based musician has signed several deals with different companies across the globe.

Last year she signed a commercial deal with international brand Tommy Hilfiger. Her song “Get Up” and Go was picked as the theme song for the international fashion Brand Tommy Hilfiger’s fashion shows for an entire year.
