Revealed: Why Oparanya won’t attend Ruto’s meeting in Kakamega

Deputy president William Ruto will attend a church service in Kakamega on Sunday.

The DP attend an event organized by the former senator Boni Khalwale.

Among the politicians who will accompany him include Babayao,Ndindi Nyoro and Kimai Ichungwa.

A source has hinted that the area governor Wycliffe Oparanya won’t attend the event due to ad blood with Boni.

Recently, the DP tried to unite the two after he appointed Oparanya as the western region kingpin of the Jubilee party.

Oparanya is expected to be appointed as cabinet minister 2022 once the DP becomes a president.

Khalwale on facebook said that noted that arrangements for the function are complete, welcoming all concerned parties to attend the mass.

“I take this early opportunity to alert all those whom this may concern that this weekend, on April 14, 2018, we have finalised plans to host the Deputy President of Kenya, Dr William Ruto for a holy mass in Kakamega, to be presided over by the salvation army church. Welcome,” he wrote.

In an interview on Citizen Radio on Wednesday, he vowed to lead the DP’s campaigns in Kakamega County upon the open of the campaign window.

Ironically, he maintained that he remains the Deputy Party Leader of the Ford Kenya party, whose party boss Moses Wetangula had also declared an interest in the top slot.
