We all remember how vlogger Chantelle Petit underwent great struggles after welcoming her newborn in January. Chantelle’s journey was anything but blissful motherhood. She had to undergo up to three surgeries after she welcomed her baby girl. The new mother suffered birth complications that forced her to undergo reconstructive fistula surgery after a 3rd-degree tear during delivery.
As she marked her 27th year in life, she shared her wishes through her Instagram account. She wrote; ” It wouldn’t be a birthday without some cake. I didn’t have a candle on this one but I did make a few wishes.
My 1st wish is to be able to get a job. It’s so hard finding work in this city these days. As a creative, most want to use my services for free without realizing that I have bills to pay and now a baby to take care of especially since I’m the sole breadwinner. I would also like to spoil my Mommy, that can’t happen without a job. God please grant me this wish.
My 2nd wish is that I’m half as good a Mommy to my daughter as mine is to me. I was raised by a single Mom too. My Mom played the role of Mom and Dad so well. I never felt like I was lacking anything. She is mainly the reason why I have managed to stay so strong. I draw from her strength. God please grant me this wish.
My 3rd wish, that I get to help as many moms as possible that have/are going through what I’ve been through. Birth injuries are not a joke. They mess with your mind and body. Sometimes you forget who you are. I wish I’m able to put a smile on many moms faces this year the same way I smile in these pics despite everything. God please grant me this wish.
