How illegal foreigners are peddling drugs to the ‘cool kids’ of USIU

Just two days since police bust illegal drugs being trafficked from Nigeria’s Port Harcourt airport through the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), 34 Nigerian immigrants have now been arrested for the same.

The office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported busting the 34 dealing  drugs in Kasarani, Nairobi on Thursday.

33 illegal Nigerian immigrant 'students' arrested in Kasarani for dealing drugs

According to Kasarani OCPD Peter Kimani, 33 of the immigrants, who have been qualified as illegal immigrants are Nigerians while one is from Eritrea.

Kimani said the suspects have been posing as students and operating businesses around the United States International University-Africa (USIU) and Kenyatta University (KU) with the intention of selling drugs.

The suspects have also been reported to have been terrorising Nairobi residents and have been link to a spate of bank robberies.

The suspects are currently before the Kiambu Law Courts.

Further reports indicate that the raid followed a recent top security shake-up in Kasarani with the former leadership accused of allegedly abetting crime giving the suspects a field-day.
