Former nominated MP Betty Tett and her husband William Tett have been forced to go through court battles against their son.

The couple’s son David Tett at first robbed Mr Tett on September 6, 2011 in Karen, Nairobi. A matter for which the court found him guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

In his defense, David said he was he was hijacked by robbers at gunpoint who then demanded for him to take them to his parents’ home.

Conversely, evidence of the witnesses was sufficient to prove that David was with the attackers and that he actively participated in the robbery, leading to his sentence.

Davis has again brought his family back to the courts in his alleged receipt of a letter from his parents.

“On April 8, 2019 I was served with a suspicious document and I would like to cross examine the alleged author who is William Tett and another witness concerning the documents,” said David appearing before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi on Wednesday.

The court therefore summoned the former MP Betty Tett and her husband William Tett to appear and explain the authenticity of the letter.

The matter will be heard on May 22, 2019.
