EX-Thika MP to make a political comeback

EX-Thika Member of Parliament Alice Ng’ang’a has hinted on a political comeback come 2022 general polls.

While speaking in an interview , the former MP said that she has not quit politics despite failing to defend her seat in the 2017 general elections.

Ng’ang’a said that she now knows what to do for Thika people if given another chance to serve as the area MP.

The former lawmaker said that she had initiated life-changing projects for residents before she was voted out.

Ng’ang’a stated that her defeat in the 2017 general election has been a learning point.

The former MP asked elected leaders across the divide to focus on service delivery.

“There is a lot of expectations Kenyans have from their leaders and they ought to give their best in terms of service delivery,” she said.

She also pleaded with politicians to shun early 2022 succession campaigns.

Ng’ang’a warned that the ongoing 2022 debate is likely to hinder development and deny Kenyans access to services.

The former MP narrowly lost to Patrick Wainaina of Jubilee Party. 

A close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ng’ang’a is among politicians to watch out in Mt Kenya’s 2022 succession politics.
