The just-concluded launch of National Integrity Identity Management System (NIIMS) by President Uhuru Kenyatta has not been doing well as expected.

A section of Kenyan leaders and opinion shapers said that the process was just but a wastage of resources but instead the government should channel the energy on important things.

The Kenya Human Right Commission (KHRC) moved to court to stop the initiative citing that the process was infringing the rights of Kenyans.

The court gave the initiative a go-ahead but barred the NIIMS from taking DNA data and GPS information and added that Kenyans should not be forced to undertake the process or denied services if not have registered.

With these rule, is there a reason to register with NIIMS?

The Huduma Namba was spearheaded by ODM leader Raila Odinga which was questioned by Kenyans as being ‘blindfolded’ by Jubilee Government.

On Tuesday, Deputy President, who was not open to the idea, registered with the NIIMS alongside his children at Langata.

Kenyans on Twitter have opened up on what they think about Huduma Namba ad why some will not register.

KHRC asked Kenyans to boycott the process because the government defied court order.

The process’ main agenda is to incorporate all the information from all platforms ranging from NSSF, NHIF, to passport in one space.

The big question is, are these information not with the government already? and why use a lot of resources in Huduma Namba when they can just take information from GOK servers?

Have you registered yet, and if not why?
