How United plans to be Disciplined against Barcelona

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has offered advice to his players who are facing possible suspension in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona.

Ander Herrera, Ashley Young, Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, and Nemanja Matic have already received two yellow cards in this season’s competition and another booking on Wednesday night would rule them out of the return leg. The amnesty comes into effect after the last eight. Valencia and Herrera are out of contention with injuries are not at risk of missing the second leg clash.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the Barcelona clash, Solskjaer revealed his advice to United players who are at risk of missing the second leg, “It doesn’t matter if you get a yellow card,” Solskjaer said. “If you go for the ball, you go for the ball, and if you don’t get it and get a yellow. Roy Keane was best example of how to react if you’re going to be out of the next game, what he did in the semi-final, before the final.

“But then again we know we can’t give fouls away. How many goals has Messi scored from free-kicks just outside the box? So of course we’ve got to be careful and the referees can’t buy little things.”
