The world will never cease to amaze us, this came after a former employee sued his former employer sued for breaking the wind (read farting) at him on purpose.

David Hingst literally took his former employer Greg Short to court, claiming that he made him quit his job by passing wind just behind him.

The Supreme Court, however, disagreed with his seemingly bizarre claim and said that even if Greg Short passed gas, it did not actually “amount to bullying.”

This is when Hingst decided to appeal against the judgement and took his case of ‘flatulence’ to the Court of Appeal.

According to David Hingst, his former supervisor would simply fart behind him and walk away. He further added that this ‘farting’ incident has caused him extreme stress as Short would do the same atleast 5 to 6 times a day.

He also claimed that all this was strategically done to make him quit his job and cause him ‘psychiatric injuries’.

In his earlier trial last year, Hingst had also claimed to have received bullying phones calls by Short about his work performance.

This is when he decided to take his former company, ‘Construction Engineering’ to court and sued it for 1.8 million dollars.

The Supreme Court of Victoria, however, quashed the case in April 2018, finding no case of apparent bullying. 56-year-old Hingst felt that he did not get a fair trial and filed an appeal against the court’s ruling.

Speaking about Greg Short’s supposed abuses, he said that there have been times when he would just “thrust his bum at him, fart and walk away.”

Talking to AAP (Australian Associated Press) Hingst said,” I would be sitting with my face to the wall and he would come into the room and fart, which was small and had no windows.”

Only time will tell whether anyone will be able to get to the ‘bottom’ of this matter. Meanwhile, doesn’t this incident make your boss look like a god?
