Manchester United will be facing a daunting task when they welcome Barcelona to Old Trafford on Wednesday 10th April but will take hope as Lionel Messi has failed to score in any of the Champions League quarterfinals since 2013.
The Argentine has failed to score in any of his last 11 Champions League quarter-final appearances for Barcelona, with his last goal coming against Paris Saint Germain back in April 2013. Messi has had tough luck as he has even attempted 49 shots without success at this stage of the competition.
The Barcelona forward, however, has been dangerous against English opposition, scoring 22 Champions League goals in 30 appearances against English teams – more than any other player in the history of the competition. Manchester United welcome Barcelona to Old Trafford on Wednesday 10th April before traveling to Catalonia for the return leg six days later.
