Deputy President William Ruto shared memories of his early dating life with his wife Rachel Ruto.
The DP has also revealed details of his humble beginnings in life with his wife in Dagoretti South where they lived in a house whose monthly rent was Sh1,750.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday at the PCEA Riruta Statelite, the self-proclaimed ‘hustler’ further revealed that his love story with Rachael dates many years back.
Ruto said many a times he and Rachel would hang out in Dagoretti and that’s how they ended up having their first child born there.
“Nikiwa Dagoretti South hii, mimi nilikuwa naishi hapa Ngando. Nilikuwa nalipa rent 1,750. Mimi nafurahi sana kurudi mahali tulianzia.
Hapa Dagoretti hata yule mke wangu Rachel, wakati nilikuwa nazungumza zungumza na yeye, nilikuwa namleta Dagoretti hapa. Na mtoto wetu wa kwanza tukampata hapa Dagoretti,” Ruto narrated to the congregations.
Ruto, who celebrated his 27 years of marriage to Rachel on December 21, 2018, graduated with his Bachelors degree from the University of Nairobi in 1990.
