I don’t know why someone would try to kill another human being on social media. We live in an era where we get news instant and on time thanks to social media.

Some social media misuse this tool to a point some us, we wish it was not there. Imagine someone was so idle to an extent they decided to report that Kibra MP Ken Okoth is dead.

The news was first posted on the Twitter handle Road Alerts which has since apologized for the fake news.

We know very well that Ken Okoth has been battling with colerectal cancer and any news on his demise would elicit a lot of information.

In March, the youthful MP posted a picture of himself undergoing Chemotherapy, saying napambana na hali yangu.

Kenyans should understand the effects that such sad news would have on the family. Imagine someone was even posting RIP messages.

News reaching our desk is that the MP is alive and responding well to meds.
