A number of people have come out to blame the Kamba Community for the heavy loss suffered by the ODM brigade in the just ended Embakasi South by-elections.
Well, i beg to differ with this group of people for i believe that ODM’s loss in Embakasi was self-inflicted and unless the Party goes back to the drawing board, it should be prepared to lose more elections in the coming weeks.
ODM’s candidate Irshad Sumra lacked just substance and depth. His message was pure crap. It was misplaced! Derogatory! Shameful and retarded. He was also sorounded by buffoons. On the contrary, Mawathe was even speaking in LUO in his charm offensive.
In any electoral contest. The party should have mapped voters demographically. Know their ages, their needs and the core block that forms the swing vote before tailoring its message.
Hate it or love it. This was not a friendly match for Mawathe, he just had no competitor.
There is this generation aged between 18- 28 years who care less about tribe, party loyality or those bogeyman messages. All they want is JOBS and OPPOTURNITIES, Busaries and Cheap data bundles, good roads and functioning hospitals etc.
These are the hustlers who take their time to vote as the working class pour on social media to flood you with likes and endless whining.
