We will not be shaken or scared by the losses, declares Sifuna

The ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has declared that the party is ready for a by-election in Malindi Constituency following the expulsion of Aisha Jumwa from the party.

This comes after Raila’s Party lost in the the just concluded by-election in Ugenya and Embakasi constituency.

While speaking in an interview in one of the Radio stations Sifuna said they were ready for another by-election in Malindi after a major defeat in the past week.

‘We are ready for the by-elections and will not be shaken or scared by the losses we recently registered in the initial ones. We cannot change our morals because of a defeat),” he said.

In addition he said that nomination preparations are already in progress and the party seeks to pick the best candidate to represent it in the race.

However, the by election could take longer or not take place at all after Jumwa vowed to challenge the party ruling through every available route.

Jumwa was expelled for allegedly supporting DP Ruto’s presidential bid in the coming 2022 general election.
