Manchester United face Barcelona over two legs in the Champions League quarter-finals this month.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men battled their way past Paris Saint-Germain to reach the last-eight of this season’s competition.
Those two legs saw the Red Devils beat PSG 3-1 in Paris, hitting the French champions on the break.
It was a much different performance to what Solskajer has become used to with his United side in the Premier League, where they are more in control of matches.
And Traore, who was among the Wolves ranks that have faced United twice in the past four weeks, has warned his former side Barca that United are a dangerous outfit.
“Manchester United are a great team and has very great players,” he told Catalonia Radio.
“(With) Lukaku, Pogba, they can reach the opponent’s area or defend at the same time.
“(They have) people who can go well on the counter-attack, like Rashford, (and have a) good aerial game.
“Barca are favourites but Manchester will play differently than when they do in England.”
Indeed, Barca are seen as the favourites heading into this clash as seek a treble this season.
The Nou Camp giants are already soaring in La Liga and have reached the Copa del Rey final.
They are hoping to win the Champions League for the first time since 2015 – during which time Real Madrid have won the competition on three occasions.
And Traore is wary of United’s threat.
“They will play (the game) differently, especially so as not to make mistakes,” he added.
“Barça are the favourites, everyone is betting on Barca.
“But any Champions League game can give you a surprise. Although the reality is that Barca are favourites, there have been surprises.”
