Ford Kenya party boss, Moses Wetangula has mocked opposition after the loss of two parliament by election.
Wetangula ford Kenya party was championing for the re-election of Mawathe who was a Wiper Candidate.
As Ford Kenya Party, we joined our Wiper brothers and other well meaning parties to drum up support for Julius Mawathe’s candidature in the spirit of NASA.
“I led the Ford Kenya brigade in support of Mawathe when he presented nomination papers at the constituency IEBC offices, my team has been actively on ground and during the last rally at Mukuru kwa Reuben grounds, with my brother Kalonzo Musyoka ,we assured the MP elect of our support,”he said.
ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna has already conceded defeat following the party’s disastrous outing that saw Chris Karan lose to David Ochieng’ in Ugenya and another loss by Irshad Sumra to Julius Mawathe in Embakasi South.
“We had a tough day at the ballot. The entire @TheODMparty put in their best effort but we have come up short in both Ugenya and Embakasi South. I thank all those who turned out to support us. Congratulations are in order Hon. Mawathe and @WiperMovement. Godspeed,” he wrote.
The beef between Odinga and Wetangula started after he was ousted by ODM from Senate Minority Leadership post.
Similar sentiments were passed across by Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut, who mocked the ODM party following the loss. He even threatened ODM to try to kick out Aisha Jumwa of Malindi for another by-election.
