ODM had to lose this by-election. It faced a candidate with a development record and strong grassroots connections. But instead of engaging the people on how its candidate would do better than David given a chance, the outfit resorted to its usual tricks of blackmail, lies and fear-mongering. It was selling anti-Ruto venom and 2022-theatrics instead.
We’re happy with Ugenya’s signal. Liberation from negative politics of poverty is fully on course, it’s possible to have the leaders we want.
