Things have gotten thick for the 2018 botched breast surgery trainee surgeon, Martin Ajujo , after new accustions on sexual harrasment wee revealed.
An American doctor told the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB) that she had been sexually assaulted by a trainee surgeon
The trainee surgeon, Martin Ajujo, performed a procedure on June Wanza that ended up being fatal.
The 26-year-old victim was allegedly assaulted by the doctor as she slept in an apartment owned by Surgeoderm clinic in Gitanga road, Valley Arcade.
She indicated that she had come together with her colleagues to an annual conference held at Nairobi hospital and had been in the Country since June 2018.
The woman also cited that she had traveled with her boss, Charles Otieno, who is a shareholding doctor at Surgeonderm clinic.
On July 15, 2018, after the complainant had drinks with her friends, she went back to her apartment at 4:30am and it is at that time that she went to get some water from the kitchen that she met Ajujo who allegedly started kissing her.
Daily Nation reports that she walked away and went to sleep but was awakened by heavy moaning. It is at this point that she realized she had allegedly been raped.
The trainee surgeon and Prof Stanley Khainga, a shareholder at the Surgeoderm clinic allegedly tried to cover up her sexual assault.
The two are still waiting for a tribunal hearing on the doctors’ conduct during the surgery of the late June Wanza.
