Musalia Mudavadi’s biggest achievements for Kenyans that no one talks about

Did you know that Amani National Congress leader (ANC) Musalia Mudavadi has served in various government dockets before? Well, while serving in the government, Mudavadi made several achievements that have almost been forgotten.

The ANC leader has served as a Cabinet minister for 19 years, as ODM Deputy Party leader as well as ODM convener and Resource mobilization Commitee. He has also served as Chief Negotiator, National Accord.

Well, when Mudavadi was a minister for local government, disaster ambulances were supplied to four municipalities. Seven towns also received fire engines.

When Musalia was Minister for Local Government again Seven roads worth 1.442 billion were constructed in towns. In addition, ten modern Bus parks worth 457 million were constructed. Ultra modern markets worth 702 million were also constructed.

As Minister for Supplies and Marketing Musalia Abolished movement permits for grain and Oversaw the expansion of grain storage facilities in order to ensure food security.

As Minister for Finance, Musalia Stopped the notorious Goldenberg looting at the Central Bank of Kenya which had brought Kenya to economic ruin, and also Reduced inflation to a single digit from a high of 50%.

While in the same Finance docket, Musalia oversaw the Establishment of the Kenya Revenue Authority, Establishment of the autonomy of the Central Bank of Kenya and Establishment of the Retirement Benefits Authority.

These are just but a few achievements that Mudavadi achieved while serving as a minister which no one has been talking about.

Mudavadi contested for Presidency once in 2013, where he finished as number three after President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga respectively. He has hence shown interest in the next 2022 presidential polls. Do you think he has all that deserves for him to be the President?
