‘HOPELESS’ Man Utd Will Miss Out On Top Four To These Two Teams

That’s the opinion of former Liverpool star Steve Nicol. Do you agree with him?

Liverpool and Manchester City have already all-but secured the first two places, as they continue to fight for the Premier League title.

But third and fourth places are still up for grabs, with four sides hoping to sneak their way into the Champions League next season.

After Tottenham’s win against Crystal Palace at their new stadium on Wednesday, they are currently one point ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea, while the former still have a game in hand.

Manchester United are two points back from Spurs on 61 points, after their disappointing 2-1 defeat at Wolves on Tuesday night.

Arsenal, however, are arguably in the strongest position, and can leapfrog their north London rivals by beating Everton on Sunday (2.05pm).

And Nicol believes that Chelsea and Manchester United have been too poor of late to put together a run.

“You don’t know what you’re going to get with Chelsea,” he said on ESPN FC.

“We were sitting here just a minute ago saying that come Saturday, they’ll be back to the old Chelsea, so forget them.”

United have suffered three defeats in their last four games, including league defeats against Wolves and Arsenal.

And Nicol argued that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will be unable to snap out of their recent poor run and get into the top four.

“Manchester United, are they going to get out of this funk?” he asked.

“We’re looking at Arsenal saying at home they’re fantastic, but questionable away from home.

“You look at United, right now they’re hopeless at home, worse away from home.

“It seems like they play away from home right now even if they’re at home.”
