Tragedy struck at Kirinyaga Univeristy after a student was stabbed by unknown assailants a few meters away from the university. He was in the company of two other students and were walking towards their residences.
The assailants robbed them of their phones and other valuables. The Student was later taken to Kutus health center by the other students but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mwea East OCPD Dorothy Gaitenga confirmed the incident and said that the police will do everything possible to bring the assailants to book.
Demonstrations were held by students over the same later into the nigh as they complained over the security issues. Calm was later restored with the Ugly incident leaving many students in shock.
