Barca travel to Old Trafford on Tuesday for the first leg of their quarter-final tie and it appears Dembele will be involved. Ernesto Valverde is set to welcome Ousmane Dembele back into the squad for the clash at Old Trafford as Ousmane Dembele could return for Barcelona’s Champions League clash with Manchester United . The France international has been out of action since injuring his hamstring in the clash with Lyon.
There were suggestions he would not return until the final few weeks of the season but Dembele has been back in training this week. The forward was involved in part of Thursday’s session and although he won’t be risked against Atletico Madrid this weekend, he is progressing well.
The 21-year-old’s Nou Camp career has been plagued by injuries since his £135m switch.He has managed just 27 starts in La Liga in the past two seasons having already missed chunks of the campaign before the current setback.
Dembele was finding arguably his best form since joining Barca before pulling up on March 13. Philippe Coutinho has started Barca’s last two matches and is expected to keep his place against United, who have been linked with signing him this summer.
