Many people have been surprised by a move that ailing Diamond Platinum’s father has taken. The man who has been battling with health has decided to change his name from just an ordinary man to a “Musician” named: Baba Diamond aka Big Lion aka Mzee Mondi

The new Musician Diamond Platinum’s father, Abdul Juma, has joined the music industry, a move that I think should not surprise us. He sired a musician and maybe he never had an opportunity to explore and establish his talents. Again dreams come true!

Mr Juma, who has given himself the stage name, collaborated with upcoming Tanzanian artistes Sungura Madini, Promis Nyota and Blod Gaz in a new song titled “Umeniteka”.

The new song was released on Tuesday, April 2.

News about Mr Juma’s plunge into music has attracted mixed reactions online, with those approving of his newly found activity saying so long as it would financially benefit the old man, they would support him.

It remains unclear what pushed Mr Juma to try his hand at music, though a section of online users speculate that the alleged neglect by his superstar son could have left him with no choice, but to try his luck in the extremely competitive industry.
