Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero have been attacked by Manchester United fans for laughing on the bench as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men slumped to a defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
United’s hopes of finishing in the top four suffered a huge blow on Tuesday as they lost to Wolves by two goals to one.
Scott McTominay put United in front in the 13th minute, but Diogo Jota equalised in the 25th.
Both sides had chances to get the winning goal, but it was Wolves who did when Chris Smalling scored an own goal in the 77th minute.
With few seconds of the game remaining, Rojo and Romero were spotted having a laugh on the bench.
Rojo and Romero laughing at the end when we’re losing and probably miss out on top 4. Get out of my club.10:43 PM – Apr 2, 2019Twitter Ads info and privacySee Kasper Amdal’s other Tweets
Their laughter did not please United fans who went on Twitter to register their opinions.

I’m sick and tired of Ed Woodward coming out and telling us we’re the richest club in the world. We behave like a small club, have the mindset of a small club and employ players who should be at small clubs. We are an embarrassment.
Makes me sick how Romero and Rojo find it funny to lauph in the 94th minute anyone notice this?1610:46 PM – Apr 2, 2019Twitter Ads info and privacySee Jay MUFC’s other Tweets
You see @ManUtd losing but Sergio Romero and Marcus Rojo laughing, cracking joke on the bench. No loyalty in most of these guys. They’re acting like its none of their business whether Man u win or lose #WOLMAN210:46 PM – Apr 2, 2019Twitter Ads info and privacySee ROA’s other Tweets

Manchester United needs players who want to actually play for the club not mercenaries.

So disappointing that Utd couldn’t produce a performance that was an improvement from our cup defeat at Wolves. Its clear that we have players who simply aren’t good enough & others who are playing below par. Not good to see Rojo & Romero laughing & joking on the bench at the end410:49 PM – Apr 2, 2019Twitter Ads info and privacySee Red Lester ‘s other Tweets

The defeat keeps United in fifth position on the Premier League table. Solskjaer’s side have the same points with fourth placed Tottenham but have played a game more.
Chelsea are just a point behind Solskjaer’s side and can go ahead if they defeat Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
Speaking after the defeat, Solskjaer said: ‘I think we played some fantastic stuff, first 20 minutes we should have been two or three up and I’m not exaggerating.
‘We didn’t pounce on the big moments in the game. There’s a couple of mistakes from us. We gave them that first goal, we have to be honest.’
