However, sources reveal the pathologist, at the time of the arrest warrant, was on official duties in Havana, Cuba.

Dr Oduor reportedly heard about his impending arrest through social media, and is said to have been irked by the court’s decision to make such a ruling in is absence.

Just a few days back, the pathologist, is said to have covertly jetted back into the country without notice.

Kabete OCS, who was instructed to oversee the doctor’s arrest, was nowhere near Jomo Kenyatta Airport.

Dr Oduor roamed freely back to his home, and has since reported back to work unperturbed.

Reason for arrest

A Kibera court is said to have issued an arrest warrant on the Chief pathologist after he failed to provide the court with a full postmortem report regarding the killing of a cyclist.

The report pertained the case of David Waweru who was knocked down in 2012 while cycling along James Gichuru Road.

Wasting court’s time

The magistrate accused the pathologist of wasting the court’s and complainant’s time after ignoring court sessions.

Oduor had reportedly confirmed with the investigating officer and the Prosecution that he would show up at the court only for him to abscond.

The court was against Silvano Mandla Wilhelm who is claimed to have been intoxicated when he hit Waweru.

Not serious with court sessions

“It is clear that Dr Oduor is not serious with court sessions. He does not take this matter with the seriousness it deserves and therefore he must be arrested with immediate effect,” Magistrate Kuto ruled.

The Magistrate directed the OCS to arrest Oduor on sight- at any function or place- owing to the urgency of the matter.

“Oduor must be arrested immediately to bring to court the postmortem report. I order Kabete OCS to alert his officers to arrest him. He has wasted both my time and the complainant’s,” Magistrate Kuto ruled.
