Passaris celebrates 2-year anniversary in ODM, ‘thanks to Baba’

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris today marks two years since she re-joined the Orange Democratic Party and began her second bid for the legislative position.

“Two years ago on this date, I rejoined the ODM Party & began my second attempt to become Woman Rep. I’m grateful to Baba & my party for having confidence in me and to everyone who elected me. It’s an honor to serve as Member of Parliament for Nairobi,” she posted on her Twitter.

The 54-year-old has had a political career that she has in the past had to rigorously fight for.

She in 2013 ran for the woman representative but lost to Rachel Shebesh, and clearly did not give in as she was up and running again in 2017.

The fight for the seat was not an easy one as she publicly and not-so harmoniously had to facethe likes of Miguna Miguna who constantly criticised her abilities.

Remember the Jeff Koinange The Bench show when Miguna had no qualms in shaming her?

The then Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant even went as far as calling Passaris a “bimbo” during the elections debate.

But clearly, Passaris has the last laugh now.
