President Uhuru Kenyatta, while rolling out the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) database, otherwise known as Huduma Namba today called upon Kenyans to disband some of the myths surrounding the system.
Speaking in Machakos County, urged Kenyans not to believe in some preachers who are preaching that the new system is connected with devil worshiping.
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka similarly echoed concerns that Kenyans are being misled against the new digital system.
“I hear some people saying that NIIMS technology has a link to Illuminati… and that, the proverbial 666 in the Bible would come into existence after the exercise ends,” said Mr Musyoka, while presiding over the roll out of the NIIMS registration exercise at Ihura in Murang’a County on Tuesday.
I want to allay those fears. This registration has nothing. It is simply for efficiency so that we can all move together.”
