In the ongoing investigations over the 21B dam scandal ,It has noew emerged that they are bearing fruits after Samburu Governor Moses Kasaine Lenolkulal becomes the first big fish to be netted by the EACC detectives.
The Governor was arrested today morning in his Nairobi home,in a raid that saw the EACC raid over 20 homes of listed suspected as they continue to pursue other remaining suspects.
Governor Kasaine is among those who have been listed as beneficiaries of the lost 21B dam money where he is accused of irregularly acquiring 84 million shillings.
The DPP,Nordin Hajji had presented findings of his investigations to the EACC and ordered for persecution of those involved,key among them three Cabinet Secretaries.
The governor,together with 13 others are said to have fraudulently supplied non existent fuel for the construction of the dams,which do not exist,using Oryx Service Station that is owned by the governor.
The service station is said to have received Sh 84.6 million from the county government and shared between the Governor and his proxy Hesbon Ndathi.
”All payments received by the said station was facilitated by the chief officers in contravention of the law,” DPP Hajji said.
