CUEA lecturer who sued boss for assault wants case removed after witness intimidation

A Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) lecturer wants the judiciary to review her case against the Dean of students whom she earlier accused of assault.

Rosa Ko indicated that the dean, Samuel Nderitu Wakanyua, has intimidated potential witnesses who are mainly students and lecturers from recording statements in fear of victimization.

She contended that individuals who attended the meeting were directly appointed by the dean and have declined to record statements.

The dean was charged on March 24 for allegedly assaulting Ko and causing her bodily harm. He is alleged to have grabbed her hand and twisted it before fellow lecturers rescued her over an exam moderation dispute.

The lecturer however has now applied to stop the case and awaits the green light form the court.
