Arsenal Defender Adds Salt to Tottenham’s Wound

Arsenal managed to jump to the third position above Tottenham Hotspur for the first time this season.

The Gunners’ win over Newcastle took full advantage of Tottenham’s defeat at Liverpool. Arsenal are now two points ahead.

Full-back Hector Bellerin could not resist taking a jab at Arsenal’s rivals.

Bellerin was quoted by the Evening Standard: “It’s good to be above Tottenham as it stands. They’re always in our shadow!”

Tottenham are hoping that moving into their new stadium will stop their poor run of form.

Spurs are without a win in their last five Premier League games, losing three away matches in succession.

The club host Crystal Palace on Wednesday, their first competitive game at their new stadium.

Arsenal have a tricky away tie up next, on Sunday against Everton, who are back in form with wins against West Ham and Chelsea.
