According to his father Abdirahman Abdi, the son left home saying he was going to see a friend but is yet to return.

“My son left home on Tuesday at around 2 pm in the afternoon. He told me he was going to meet his friend and I did not have any worries as he frequently visited his friends who are well known to me,” said the worried father.

Abdi further expressed concerns that his son’s phone has since been switched off, adding that calls had gone unanswered day after his apparent disappearance.

“We have been trying to call him but his phone is now off. At first, calls to his number went unanswered,” he claimed.

The troubled father is, however, reluctant to report to the police owing to the incident that happened in November 2018, where his son was arrested for planning to kill Uhuru and Duale.

It is alleged that the student sent a message to President Kenyatta and Duale in his English Paper One (Functional Skills) answer sheet threatening to kill them at an unknown date.

The message was discovered by Kenya National Examinations Council officials in Nairobi as they were arranging the papers for marking.

They tracked the candidate using his registration number and was immediately arrested.
