Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni today made an impromptu visit to his longtime friend former President Moi at his home in Kabarak.
Museveni who was in the country for a two-day official state visit made a courtesy call to the ageing Moi just one day after ending his visit on Thursday. Baringo senator Gideon Moi was there welcomed Uganda’s president.
During his time in power, Moi and Museveni probably never liked each other but each recognized and respected the unbending steel in the other’s back.
Their good relationship blossomed in 2010 when Moi was Museveni’s guest in Kampala, where he not only presided over a key political event but also said he’d known from way back that Museveni was the right man for Uganda.
Museveni is expected back to Uganda later today.
