Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has exposed Deputy President William Ruto over his secret fight in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
While speaking during the building bridges public hearings forum in Kisii, said, “BBI is worrying Mr Ruto. I want to assure him that BBI has nothing to do with his Presidential bid in 2022. The Initiative is only after uniting Kenyans following the divisive 2017 polls.”
He said DP Ruto and his close allies should stop being barriers to peace in this country.
The ODM allied governor reiterated the need for Kenyans to live together as one and in peace throughout.
“Kenyans need to be at peace all times. DP Ruto and his allies should therefore, be good peace ambassadors,” noted Ongwae.
He appealed to the BBI task force to work towards finding a lasting solution for peace and good governance that include fixing ethnicity, national ethos and patriotism, inclusivity, devolution, divisive elections, safety and security, corruption, shared prosperity, responsibilities and human rights.
He also confirmed that his full support for historic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
