Uhuru gives out a portion of land from Ruto’s homestead

The famous Ugandan dictator to have ever lived in history Idd Amin Dada once claimed in 1976 that Ugandan land extends up to Naivasha.

This raised tension between the two countries as the First President Jomo Kenyatta sent armed soldiers ready to take on Idd Amin.

But Idd Amin bowed and surrendered his push to grab Kenyans lands.

But now President Uhuru Kenyatta has gifted his Ugandan counter-part Yoweri Museveni a land in Naivasha.

Naivasha stands out be one of the regions in the Rift Valley where the Deputy President William Ruto reigns.

Will Ruto again raise controversies over this gift to Museveni?

But why did Uhuru gift Museveni?

Uganda is expected to build a dry port in Naivasha.

The constructed port in Naivasha by Uganda will act as a base for its cargo that lands at Kenya’s port of Mombasa.

Speaking during Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s visit to Kenya, President Uhuru said that the country will give the land as a way of fostering the Kenya-Uganda relations.

President Kenyatta also said that the talks he held with Uganda’s leader were mainly about matters of regional development for the benefit of the two countries.
