Upcoming rapper Fresh kid real names Patrick Ssenyonjo could be having trouble in his career especially after minister Nakiwala Kiyingi declaring his performances illegal.
This comes in shortly before the seven -year-old could enjoy his newly gained fame and after parting ways with his manager due to reasons known to them.
While addressing journalists in Kampala on Tuesday, the minister for youth and Children said that it is against the law for a minor to perform in night clubs late night but rather to be taken care of by his or her parents.
“According to the Constitution of Uganda, children who are below eighteen years are not allowed to perform and enter in clubs, so I am going to do everything possible to stop kids from performing and entering in Clubs,” stated the Minister.
The Minister also added that agencies that hire them (people below 18
years), will be dealt with, where possible.
“I take this opportunity to warn all of you who are engaging children in things like this and renting for them houses, you will also be arrested according to the law,” she added.
