If it were not for Ruto, Uhuru would not have been President,Kabogo reveals

Ex-Kiambu governor William Kabogo has comeout cationing President Kenyatta of betraying his Deputy President William Ruto.

He further added saying that if it were not for Ruto, Uhuru could not have won in the 2013 and 2017 elections.

He further questioned the motive behind the 2018 March handshake between the President and ODM leader Raila Odinga, saying if it was genuinely meant to bring peace, it would have involved other leaders.

“I know where DP and the President started their political union. Uhuru and I drove to Ruto’s Karen home. We sat under a tree  for three days negotiating a working relationship…Ruto helped Uhuru to win. Do you think we would have won without Ruto?”

Kiambu Governor Ferninard Waititu has called on Uhuru to be cautious while dealing with the former PM, saying his history of destroying political parties was clear.

“We know that Raila Odinga destroyed Kanu, Narc and now Nasa. We should not entertain him if our Jubilee agenda for Kenya is to be implemented,” Waititu said.

Waititu maintained  that Mt Kenya vote block  will back the Deputy President for the top seat in 2022.

“We want to make it clear that as people from Mt Kenya, we are not political conmen. We promised in 2013 that we support President Kenyatta for 10 years and Ruto for another 10 years. Our agreement still stands,” he said.

Starehe MP Charles Njagua told off Nominated MP Maina Kamanda  for his  spirited efforts to block the Deputy President from taking over the leadership of the country in 2022.

“Some people should stop directing their anger at the Deputy President simply because they lost during the last general election. They should blame the voters on their loss and not Ruto,” he said.
