Nyege Nyege is an international music and cultural festival that features artists from across the globe and features artists from across the globe to show off their talents.
Its annually organized by MTN business group and its all about dancing especially when Nyege Nyege hits you you have no option ut to dance to your fullest.
The festival allows you to dance,shake and moves your body uncontrollably.
In 2018,the event was held went down at Nile Discovery Beach in Jinja Uganda with thousands of merry-makers treated to a blend of musical hits.
The event was not any different from the previous four as ladies again carried the day with booty shorts dominating the two day event.
Critics have, however, perceived the festival as one that promotes sexual immorality, something that led to its cancellation by the Ugandan government before the organizers later negotiated with the authorities to find a middle ground.
The festival takes place in a breathtaking forest on the shores of the Nile River, just a few minutes away from the Source.
Despite attracting a global audience and being international in nature, Nyege Nyege is not your classic “destination festival”, it is first and foremost a celebration of Ugandan culture and African music, and the “Spirit of UG” is ever present.
Nyege Nyege boasts of over 200 artists and Djs who entertain the revelers night and day for four days back-to back.
