What Next For Chelsea Young Star After Breaking Man United Legend’s Record?

Chelsea young forward Callum Hudson-Odoi made an impressive debut for England on Friday in their match against Czech Republic, where they beat their opponents 5-1.

For that reason, there is really a great joy surrounding the player.

Despite a lack of regular playing time for club side Chelsea, the 18-year-old has already made his competitive debut for England, and in doing so broke a record held by a Manchester United legend.

Hudson-Odoi came on for his England debut last Friday night as he replaced hat-trick hero Raheem Sterling and played the final few minutes of a convincing 5-0 win against Czech Republic.

It was a moment the youngster will never forget, and a substitution which saw him replace an United legend in the history books.

Aged 18 years and 135 days old Hudson-Odoi became the youngest player in the history of the England national team to win his first cap in a competitive match, breaking the record held by Duncan Edwards since April 1955.

The legendary Busby Babe made his debut for the England national team in a match against Scotland in the British Home Championship.

Not only is Hudson-Odoi replicating the Old Trafford legend on international duty, but many reports are suggesting he too could be lining up for United sometime soon.

There is intense speculation surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge, with a move to Old Trafford being touted over the weekend.

A report from one English publication suggest club hierarchy are keen to battle Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich to sign the highly rated youngster.

Although Hudson-Odoi made his England debut last week he is yet to start a Premier League game for Chelsea and has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Bayern have been connected with the winger, as have Borussia Dortmund should fellow England international Jadon Sancho move on this summer.
