Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo has warned politicians against politicizing the war on corruption.
Speaking at Emoo Fm,A kalenjin radio station ,the former governor said that president Uhuru and his deputy have slept on their job and its high time they should rise up and fight cartels that are taking advantage of their differences.
Kabogo blames Uhuru of abandoning William Ruto who he campaigned together for presidency in 2013 and 2017 adding that Uhuru couldn’t have made to presidency without Ruto’s support.
“I’m not defending William Ruto but what i want to say is this, the duo should work together and fight the corruption dilemma in the Country and if Uhuru says that the DP is corrupt he should come out in public and say it without keeping people in the darkness,”Kabogo said.
Kabogo petition Uhuru to appoint him the head of the EACC and the cases of corruption will drastically change within a month.
“Make me the head of EACC for free and you will see how the cases of corruption will reduce by half within the first months, i know how i will deal with cartels,”he said.
The former governor wondered how someone can afford to purchase three building in Nairobi and as well purchase a house in Muthaiga worth sh 400 million.
Kabogo said that Uhuru should not spare anyone mentioned by the investigative agencies.
“It’s time for Uhuru to act on corrupt officials who are stealing public money as Kenyans are suffering under their leadership,” he said adding the government should auction their properties as well as freezing their accounts in an effort to recover the stolen money.
He said that the President’s Big Four agenda may be a pipe dream if he fails to sack the corrupt officers as the money intended for the projects will be squandered.
Kabogo said that Kenyans are ready to help Uhuru jail those politicians who are destroying Uhuru’s reputation by stealing public money.
Earlier Uhuru had said that his government won’t spare anyone mentioned of being corrupt.
“I will not spare anyone who is corrupt,whether a family member,a political allies or anyone,be ready to face the sequences,”Uhuru said.
The former governor has recently been very vocal on issues pertaining corruption cases.
While addressing locals over the weekend during a homecoming party of a local artist,Muigai Njoroge,Kabogo said he is ready to Marshall locals to eject corrupt officials from the government.
