Police are pursuing a local University student leader who brutally assaulted her girlfriend and quickly went underground after his action was exposed on social media.
Mr. Nevelle Jakaba who is the Secretary General of the Technical University of Kenya assaulted her six months old girlfriend Lydia Kemunto.
Kemunto while narrating her ordeal said her assailant now in hiding has been subjecting to her to serious beatings for the short period they have been in love and the recent one that left her bleeding badly happened last weekend.
The case was booked at Industrial Area police station under OB 51/25/3/2019and a team of officers were immediately dispatched to hunt for the student leader following sustained pressure calling for his arrest from Kenyans online.
Trouble for Jakababa started when the victim resorted to seek help from a popular activist Bonface Mwangi who in turn went on Facebook to expose the ugly incident.
