‘Play Kenya Music’ hit the headlines after what was described as negligence of local music. Local musicians complained that they never receive attention in their own country compared to international artists.

Despite the complains, Kenya music is also being played internationally. King of rap, King Kaka shared a video while at Dallas Maverick’s Basketball court where his song ‘Dudaing’ was being played. He captioned it; “Nilikuwa nakula my Burrgerrrr pole pole during the Dallas Mavericks game and Dundaing starts to play. Maximum respect to poizon ivy the dj for putting Ke Music on the map.”

King Kaka was physically on location to hear his song play at the Mavs vs Kings NBA game. This would be the second time his song has featured in the court. The DJ putting Kenya on the map is none other than Poison Ivy, a Kenyan who is the official Dj for the Dallas Mavericks.

King Kaka is in the US for his Eastlando Royalty tour.
