The just-concluded Comoros presidential election saw the incumbent president retain his seat.
The president of the Comoros Islands has won a landslide victory which the opposition has described as a sham.
The electoral commission announced that President Azali Assoumani had won just over 60% of the votes.
The votes gannered by the president is approximately four times more than his nearest rival, Mahamoudou Ahamada.
The election was held after a controversial referendum, boycotted by the opposition, that saw the presidential mandate extended from one to two terms.
The incumbent now is going for the second term in the new amended constitution.
