Slain Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa finally met President Kenyatta weeks after she was expelled from her party ODM over what was concluded as gross misconduct.
Excited Ms Jumwa took to her social media facebook account to announce the news to her followers saying that her meeting with the President and the deputy president was purely peace oriented.
“Earlier today, I had another ‘Handshake’ with H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta. Also, I shared a light moment with both the President and the DP.#GenuineHandshake #CascadingHandshakeManenos”
The coast legislator was expelled for apparently supporting the Deputy President’s presidential bid come 2022.
However the Party leader said that they were ready to forgive her should she apologise formally for disrespecting it’s constitution. But the second term legislator has dismissed such offer.
Suna East MP Junet Mohammed sarcastically lauded Jumwa’s meeting with the top leadership, suggesting that she had officially joined Jubilee Party. He also said the move was welcome.
In a tweet he said, “When you disagree with your party and join another one, you do it as Hon Aisha Jumwa did yesterday.. Mchana peupe!! Congratulations Hon Aisha,”
