Rumours linking Arsenal with a shock move for Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has got a number of fans talking.
The 29-year-old is out of contract in June and according to the Daily Mail the Gunners have joined Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain in the race to secure his signature in the summer.
It’s understood that negotiations that started 18 months ago have reached deadlock and that’s allowed PSG to open talks with his representatives over a lucrative move to France.
The report states that the Red Devils remain hopeful on reaching an agreement and that the Spaniard’s preference is to stay in Manchester.
“I do not concern myself with what will happen in four months, so I do not know if my time here is over,” Herrera said. “It’s logical when you’ve got three months left on your contact and there is an international break. I knew something would come out.
But the move seems to be attracting negative reactions from some section of Arsenal fans who thinks that the move is not going to make any impact on Arsenal’s squad.
Herrera has been at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ since the summer of 2014, making 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season and could be viewed as a replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
But judging by the reaction on social media not all Arsenal fans seem happy with this shock transfer rumour.
