Manchester United’s holding midfielder Ander Herrera has without a doubt cemented his place in the Premier side of Manchester United although he has had injury issues.
Coming close to the expiry of his stay at the club and having not signed a new deal leaves him in a possible move out of the Devils shirt.
Ander Herrera has responded to speculation linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain describing the reports as ‘logical’.
The midfielder is in the last few weeks of his contract and if does not agree new terms with Manchester United in the coming few weeks he would be able to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer.
Reports last week claimed he was keen to join PSG but M.E.N. Sport understood the reports were wide of the mark and his representatives were still hopeful of agreeing new terms with United.
But, the 29-year-old told El Periodico, a daily newspaper based in Barcelona, that he is not surprised by the speculation.
“It is logical when you have three months of contract and there are stop selections,” he said. “I already knew something was going to come out. I take it as normal, I focus on playing football in the month-and-a-half that remains.
“The rest is left to my agent, both the possible renewal with United and if you talk to another club for my departure.”
The midfielder, who signed for United in 2014, was then asked if he believed his time in the Premier League was up.
“I do not go crazy with what will happen in four months, so I do not know if my stage is over,” he replied. “I enjoy being at the biggest club in England, the fans love me, they have treated me phenomenally and my duty is to listen to them, although I honestly do not know what is going to happen.
“What I see myself is trying to win at Watford next week. If things deserve it and if you are an honest and hardworking person, they arrive.”
