The name Okoth Obado will always elicit sharp reactions on social media once it is mentioned. The embattled Migori governor is one of the most famous county bosses in Kenya, thanks to him coating controversy everywhere he goes.
On Saturday, Obado surprised many people after he announced that some of his people risk dying from hunger.
He said most residents in Nyatike constituency face severe hunger as a result of the long dry spell.
“Nyatike is a semi-arid area and crop production has declined. It is our appeal to the national government to also remember our people here as it distributes relief food to other parts of the country,” Obado said.
