As any Kenyan to describe Babu Owino, and am sure that the word religious will not appear in any of the descriptions.

The Embakasi East MP, who once called the President Mtoto wa Mbwa, shocked Kenyans a few weeks ago when he revealed that he is a follower of the mightiest prophet David Owuor.

“We will pray and forgive those fighting the church,” he said. “Mimi ni mtoto wa misa and I encourage Prophet Owuor to continue serving the flock,” said the controversial legislator.

In case you thought that was shocking, then hujaona ya virauni. Babu just attended Prophet Owuor’s Rally at Uhuru Park.

Here is a Post he made on Facebook:

I joined other leaders in a unity prayer rally led by Prophet Owuor of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness at Uhuru Park attended by close to one million Kenyans.

Kenya is a nation founded in the belief of God. It is through His Almighty Hand that we have been guided through difficult moments in the past to prosperity. Many thought that the country would be torn apart following the 2017 General Election but here we are today celebrating the Handshake that has brought Kenyans together.

We thank the Lord for softening the hearts of H. E Uhuru Kenyatta and H. E Raila Odinga causing them to put the country first and agree to work together.

This is why I was shocked when I heard some people suggesting the taxation of churches and vetting of religious leaders. What God has given, truly no man can take away. Not even Parliament.

I wish to assure all worshippers that I will be on the front line in defending the Faith and ensuring the political class respects freedom of worship. We will not allow the Devil’s Hand to find its way into our society through politicians.

We pray for continued peace, unity and prosperity for our nation while always giving thanks!

God bless Kenya!

Comrade Babu Owino,
MP, Embakasi East and Believer in Christ.
